Knitting Project

The project offers women the opportunity to earn extra income through knitting during the dry winter period when there is less work. The women make intricate traditional knitwear and produce everything from sweaters to gloves. Sahayatri Nepal then finds a market for the finished garments through Fair Trade Nepal. In this way, the women earn an additional income. At the same time, an old tradition and craftsmanship is preserved.
